Scout Real Estate Capital is a committed hospitality industry leader and public educator on sustainability. We provide our guests with unique, high quality experiences, while celebrating the local character of the communities we operate in and minimizing the impact on the environment.   For each resort location, Scout has developed a comprehensive sustainability plan which encompasses environmental, economic and social strategies.

Environmental Sustainability
In each location, Scout commits to protect the environment by reducing our consumption and impact on natural resources. 

Conserve Energy & Water
§ Implement sustainable building techniques and renewable energy strategies to reduce energy needs and carbon emissions
§ Use energy-efficient appliances
§ Install low-flow plumbing fixtures, efficient irrigation systems, rainwater harvesting systems and wastewater treatment systems
§ Establish eco-friendly housekeeping policies
§ Take action to become carbon neutral on all properties
 
Build Quality Resorts
§ Set a goal of  LEED Gold standards for new construction
§ Provide healthy resort environments that are well designed to serve the needs of guests and employees
 
Reduce Waste
